Introduction
As an alloy additive, Manganese Nitride is mainly used to smelt special alloy steel, high-strength steel, stainless steel, heat-resistant steel and other products, especially in large diameter steel pipes for transporting oil and natural gas and high-strength steel for manufacturing ships and automobiles. Nitrogen can improve the strength and plasticity of steel, expand the austenite zone, refine the grains and improve the workability.
Other Applications
- Manganese nitride has chemisorption and is also used in the J-T adsorption chiller.
- Manganese nitride is also widely used in the field of zero thermal expansion materials, which is due to the low thermal expansion of manganese nitride composites in a considerable temperature range.
- The reverse fluorite or Li3N structure of manganese nitride makes it have good lithium-ion fluidity, large reversible capacity and good reversibility. Manganese nitride is also considered a promising anode material for lithium-ion batteries.
